At Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve—and this August, we invite you to join us in making a real difference.
The Floyd's family has a personal connection to the fight against Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Co-Founders Paul and Karen O’Brien experienced the life-changing impact of T1D when their daughter was diagnosed at just nine years old. In response, Floyd’s began partnering with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) in 2012. Since then, we've proudly raised more than $2.1 million to support their mission to cure, prevent, and treat T1D.
Each year, over 64,000 people are newly diagnosed with T1D. Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is on a mission to improve lives today and cure T1D tomorrow—and we’re proud to support their work.
From now through August, stop by your local Floyd’s Barbershop and make a $5 donation to receive a special savings booklet valued at over $30 in discounts on Floyd’s services and products.
The booklet is valid from September 1 to October 31, 2025, and 100% of the donation goes toward funding critical research through Breakthrough T1D.
Our 2025 fundraising goal is $160,000, and with your help, we know we can get there.
“As more adults and children are diagnosed with T1D every day, our fundraising efforts in shops help fund critical research for a cause that’s close to our hearts. Our own daughter has lived with T1D since she was 9 years old. Stop into any Floyd's location, make a donation, and pick up a great Floyd’s coupon book. Thank you for supporting everyone living with T1D.”
— Karen O’Brien, President of Floyd’s 99 Barbershop
